Biography
TUM School of Management
Since June 2019, I am Assistant professor of Operations Management at the Ingolstadt School of Management of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Before, I was a senior research and teaching associate at the Chair of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Technical University of Munich. Further, I was working for one year as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the École des sciences de la gestion at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and at the CIRRELT. My research focuses on optimal solution methods for network design problems with a focus on City Logistics, Bilevel Programming, and Hazardous Material Shipments. Especially, the distribution of goods in cities is a main driver for congestion and pollution in cities. I work on models and analysis for the distribution of goods in cities and last-mile concepts. Further, the practical application of data-driven approaches and meta-heuristics have been part of my research and studies.
In 2016, I finished my Ph.D. studies at the Technical University of Munich in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. During these studies, a research visit at the CIRRELT in 2014/2015 created the basis for a start in the international academic world. I am involved in several industrial projects in the area of automotive, financial services, manufacturing and process industry. The overall goal of these projects is to improve the supply chain or reduce the workload using optimization methods, e.g. data-driven approaches, inventory optimization or vehicle routing.
As a teaching associate at the chair of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Munich, I gained educational experience while giving lectures and supervising bachelor/master theses, project studies as well as interdisciplinary projects. Currently, I am offering several basic and advanced courses in the masters programm Business Analytics & Operations Research at the Ingolstadt School of Management.
