Pietro Sirena

Pietro Sirena is Full Professor of Civil Law, Comparative Private Law, and European Contract Law at Bocconi University, where, since 2018, he also serves as Dean of the Law School.

At SDA Bocconi School of Management, Pietro is co-director of the program ‘La giusta valutazione del credito’ e Faculty Deputy of the Knowledge Group ‘Law and Regulation’.

His research activity focuses on restitution law and unjustified enrichment, consumer protection, banking contracts, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Pietro is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Law Institute (ELI) and of the Society of European Contract Law (SECOLA). He is membre associé of the Académie Internationale de Droit Comparé. He serves on the Board of the European Review of Contract Law (ERCL) and of the Osservatorio del diritto civile e commerciale. He is also co-editor of the series European Contract Law and Theory (EUCOLATH), published by Intersentia (Antwerp-Oxford).
