Biography

Phil Andrew is an instructor at the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship, where he teaches classes on negotiation, business intelligence and leadership. Andrew also serves as principal of PAX Group LLC, a risk preparation, crisis and conflict resolution agency that enables organizations to maintain confidence, build resilience and safe environments while growing and achieving better outcomes and keeping organizations and communities healthy and prosperous in the face of conflict and social change. Andrew also leads the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Violence Prevention Initiatives where he is responsible for all aspects of safety, prevention programs and partnerships.

He served more than 20 years as a special agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) throughout the Midwest, New York and overseas with expertise in crisis negotiation, undercover work, counter terrorism, national security, violence prevention, crimes against children and social media. He has led FBI negotiation teams and deployed regularly on domestic and international kidnappings/hostage takings and has received numerous FBI/DOJ Awards.
