Phil Westcott

Phil Westcott is the co-Founder and CEO at Filament AI. Founded in 2016, Filament are 50-strong AI consultancy and software delivery firm based in the UK and Canada, and specialising in deriving intelligence from unstructured data. Before Filament, Phil ran the IBM Watson platform in Europe, led their Smarter Cities business in South East Asia and launched IBM’s global IoT practice. He is a specialist in AI use cases, business models and enterprise transformation. He is a regular speaker on the convergence of AI tech, entrepreneurship and investment. He is an entrepreneur-in-residence at the University of Nottingham, a Chartered Engineer and holds an MBA from Columbia University New York.
