Peter Decotis

Peter joined the Feld Center for Career & Alumni Engagement in July 2020 as the Assistant Director of PEMBA Career Coaching. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director for Specialty Master’s Career Services and also worked as a career coach for the FTMBA students. He has had the pleasure of working with nearly all of our graduate populations over the last five years and has experience working with Alumni and employers as well. Peter was the first staff member to build and launch the MSBA program from the ground up. He initiated and developed a collection of employer partners, created a curriculum for international students, and facilitated numerous career events and presentations.

Prior to joining BU, Peter was a CIO, CTO, and technology leader for several financial services companies over 20 years. He worked his way up from the help desk to executive leadership and relished his time as a hiring manager, mentor, and trainer for decades. He also has experience as a college admissions counselor and life coach. Currently, Peter enjoys working exclusively with the PEMBA population as their dedicated career coach. He teaches career workshops, meets 1:1 with students, and coordinates some career-related events. Peter works closely with the MBA Center on social programs as well.

Outside of work, Peter enjoys kayaking, traveling, hiking, golf, tennis, and many more outdoor activities. He is a lifelong learner with an MBA and has nearly completed another Master’s in Hospitality.
