Biography
Patrick is a Certified Chef de Cuisine who started his culinary career as a student at George Brown College after completing his undergraduate studies at McMaster University. Having worked in hotel kitchens in Toronto and New York City for over 25 years he has come full circle, returning to George Brown as a culinary professor in both the Culinary Management Nutrition and Culinary Management diploma and degree programs. An appetite for life-long learning and a focus around food has led him further to complete a Masters in Environmental Studies at York University focusing around food literacy, food security, and urban agriculture. Combined with facilitating learning to meet nutritional needs reveals to students it is not only the “how’s” to cook, but also the “why’s” to meet optimal nutritional needs for better quality of living.
