Dr Patricia Chew has spent more than 20 years in the education industry. She has taught a whole spectrum of students, from secondary school students to post-graduate students. After obtaining her PHD in the field of Marketing, she was faculty at SIM University. In her tenure at SIM University, she co-headed the business programme, and headed the marketing programme at different points in her career. Taking time off academia, Dr Chew started her own company in training and conducting seminars in peak performance before returning to SIM, joining SIM Global Education as the Assistant Director of the International Development Division, tasked to grow SIM Global Education overseas.

Over her career, she has taught management and marketing modules like Services Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Consumer Behaviour, Business Negotiation, Business Skills and Management and Principles of Marketing at the National University of Singapore, SIM University, and SIM GE both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Dr Chew’s passion is in the area of services marketing and she is a co-author of the best-selling international textbook – Essentials in Services Marketing - which has achieved worldwide sales and has been adopted by universities in the US, Australia, Europe and Asia as an undergraduate text for courses in Services Marketing. She has also presented papers at various conferences and published a number of articles in magazines and peer reviewed academic journals.

She has been on the consulting team for projects with SK Telecoms, LG Capital, Singapore Pools, DSTA and National Library Board.
