Ir. Hj. Othman bin Hj. Ahmad graduated from City University, London in Electronic Engineering in with first class honours, taking courses in Computer Engineering, Control Theory, Communication Systems and Signal Processing. He joined Telecom Malaysia after graduating from City University. In 1986, he furthered his studies to the MSc level at Edinburgh in Information Technology with subjects on Silicon Fabrication, Software Tools and VLSI designs. In 1990, while doing a part-time PhD, he worked as a lecturer at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. It was at NTU that he first proposed the Intelligence Theory while designing a microprocessor for the PhD program. Although he did not complete his PhD, he continued with the research on Intelligence and Computer designs while working as a Telecom Engineer for Telecom Malaysia Berhad.

His current interests include Chess, Radio Control Aeroplanes and Simulators, Panoramic Pictures, Video Games, Full HD videos and surround sound.
