Olivier Bruel

Biography

Olivier Bruel is an emeritus professor in the Informations Systems and Operations Management Department at HEC Paris.

His area of expertise is Supply Chain Management. Since 1984, he has developed singular expertise in Upstream Supply Chain and Procurement Strategies and has become a recognized expert in this field, both in the academic and professional worlds.

From 1984 to 1986, in addition to his teaching, research and publications, he worked as Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain for a large industrial firm.

Over the years he has carried out numerous consultancy missions and has become a recognized expert in Procurement and Supplier Relations. His most recent works have led him to focus on value creation through procurement, risk management, and sustainable and responsible procurement value chains.
