Biography
Hertie School of Governance
Oliver Gnad is the Co-founder and Managing Director of the Bureau für Zeitgeschehen, a Berlin-based think-and-do-tank specialising in strategic foresight and scenario planning. He has been a fellow of the Dahrendorf Forum since 2015. From 2008 to 2016, he served as Director of GIZ AgenZ, an in-house consultancy of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). He worked with the planning staff of the German Federal Chancellery, the German President’s Office and the German Foreign Office. Before his employment at GIZ, Oliver Gnad was the Director for International Programs of the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius in Hamburg. He holds a doctoral degree in contemporary history from Goethe University Frankfurt.
