Wagner Graduate School of Public Service
Norma Riccucci is a Professor in the School of Public Affairs & Administration at
Rutgers University. She is the director of the Ph.D. Program in Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University in Newark, is a special editor of Public Administration Review, and an active member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Partnership for Public Service. She also has served as president of the Public Management Research Association.
Professor Riccucci''s research includes work in the broad area of public management, witha particular focus on social equity, diversity management and employment discrimination law. She is coauthor of Personnel Management in Government: Politics and Process ; author of HowManagement Matters: Street Level Bureaucrats and Welfare Reform and Managing Diversity in the Public Sector ; editor of Classics of Public Personnel Administration and Labor Relations and Public Personnel Management: Current Concerns, Future Challenges (fourth edition); and coeditor of Public Personnel Management: Current Concerns, Future Challenges (first, second and third editions).
Professor Riccucci is a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, a nonprofit organization chartered by the U.S. Congress to provide expert advice and analysis to government leaders on issues of governance and management. She received the Rita Mae Kelly Award for Research Excellence from the Section for Women in Public Administration of the American Society for Public Administration in 2005.
Professor Riccucci holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, a Master''s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor''s degree in Public Administration from Florida International University.
