Lorange Institute

Niels Pflaeging is an advisor, author, and speaker with more than 10 years of experience in management consulting, having worked profound organizational transformation with executive teams in Europe and the Americas. He holds a Master´s degree (Diplom) in Economics and Business Administration from the Universitiy of Hannover. For five years, he was a director with the Beyond Budgeting Round Table, the research network that originated the Beyond Budgeting model. Pflaeging has lived in other countries as diverse as Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brazil and the US. He regularly teaches at several European business schools, including Donau-Universität Krems. He authored four books, focusing on the end of command-and-control management, leadership for the 21st century and organizational design and transformation. His second book, “Leading with Flexible Targets. A Practical Guide to Superior Competitive Success” was awarded the Financial Times Germany Best Business Book Award in 2006.
