Presentation
Niels Mygind is professor at the Department of International Economics and Management. He has been head of department 2008-2012. He was director of the Center for East European Studies 1996-2008. He has done research on the effects of different ownership structures, the economic transition and especially privatization, corporate governance and enterprise restructuring in Eastern Europe with focus on the Baltic Countries. His current research covers the development in politics, institutions and the economy in emerging markets with focus on the BRIC countries. He is also working on corporate governance in China with focus on employee ownership.

Courses
Niels Mygind has taught a variety of courses in the areas of: Micro- and macroeconomics, Economic behaviour of employee-owned firms, Comparative Economic Systems, The Transition in Eastern Europe and the (former) Soviet Union, Emerging Markets, Economics of Property Rights and Corporate Governance.
Niels Mygind supervises Ph.D. students and student master-theses on subjects concerning corporate governance, enterprise restructuring, privatization, and transition in general.
