Nick Basing

Nick Basing is a Founding Member of the bd-capital Operator's Club, and is the Chairman of Rakit Group.

Nick has over 25 years’ experience in leisure and consumer-oriented sectors, working across private equity, public and private family-run businesses.

Nick is currently Chairman of Ten Entertainment plc, and previously was a non-executive director of Elegant Hotels plc and Brakes Group. He also served alongside Richard Baker on the Board of Directors of The Wimbledon Championships. Nick has also been Chairman of Peoples First.

Nick was previously the CEO of Essenden plc and Paramount Holdings, and before that held leadership roles in Unilever, Granada, Rank Group, First Leisure and Goodwood Group.

Nick studied at London Business School and Harvard Business School. He is currently a visiting Professor designate at ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
