24 years experience in the practice of adult psychiatry, and 20 years of subspecialization in psychosomatic medicine/consultation-liaison psychiatry. Have served as associate director of consultation-liaison psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance, associate director of the Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, and director of Transplantation Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Currently working full time at Massachusetts General Hospital as Fellowship Director in Psychosomatic Medicine and as an attending on the MGH consultation and transplantation psychiatry services.

Have developed and administered neuropsychiatry/neuroanatomy seminars at Massachusetts General Hospital and Cambridge Health Alliance Psychiatry Residency Programs. Co-developed and have for 9 years delivered a novel seminar on "Professionalism, Physicianhood, and Psychiatric Practice" to senior residents and fellows.

Academic work focuses on topics in consultation psychiatry (particularly capacity assessment, maladaptive illness behaviors, and deception syndromes), neuropsychiatry, and medical ethics.
