Lorange Institute
Myron Graw studied mechanical engineering and economics at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), University of California at Berkeley (USA) and Tsinghua University in Beijing (China). In 2011 Mr. Graw began his professional career as scientific employee at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in Aachen, where he finished his doctorate in the area of technology management. In this context, he led more than 20 industrial projects in the areas of technology foresight, strategy development as well as competence-based diversification. The projects were executed in an cross-industrial environment with small- to large-sized industrial partners from the machine tool, automotive, aerospace, energy, consumer as well as the process industry sectors. The focus was continually set on the methodical derivation of technological opportunities and risks for the respective enterprises as well as on the development of strategically relevant core competences. From 2013 to 2015 Mr. Graw was responsible for the development and deployment of lightweight material manufacturing technologies as business unit leader at Fraunhofer IPT. Main focus was set on modern processing technologies and applications for fiber-reinforced composites. From 2014 to 2016 he additionally managed the group technology exploitation at Fraunhofer IPT. Parallel to his activities at Fraunhofer IPT, Mr. Graw started at the KEX Knowledge Exchange AG (Fraunhofer Spin-Off with focus on automated technology information services) as technology manager in the area of additive and advanced manufacturing. Since February 2016, Mr. Graw serves as a partner of the KEX Knowledge Exchange AG and is responsible for the operative business as head of operations. In his time at KEX Knowledge Exchange AG he led several consortium and bilateral projects regarding the potentials of additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and Data Analytics with more than 200 participating companies overall.
