Bayes Business School

Dr Mustafa Kavas is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Strategy at The Business School (formerly Cass), City, University of London. His main research interests lie in the nexus of spirituality and strategy practices within family firms. His research particularly focuses on how religious beliefs inform and shape the strategizing processes of family firms operating in the Anatolian part of Turkey, where religion permeates society. Mustafa holds a PhD in Strategy from The Business School (formerly Cass), City, University of London. Mustafa's research has been published in various journals and outlets, including Journal of Business Ethics, Academy of Management Proceedings, International Journal of Organizational Analysis, and Development and Learning in Organizations: An International Journal. In his current Postdoctoral Research Fellow position, Mustafa works with a team led by Paula Jarzabkowski on a research project that explores the market mechanisms that transfer uninsured risk into global financial markets to bridge the global protection gap and the strategic implications that this has in market functioning.
