Moshe Cohen is the President and founder of The Negotiating Table, a training, mediation, and consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 1995, Moshe has been teaching, mediating, coaching, writing, and speaking on the topics of:

  • Negotiation,
  • Leadership,
  • Change Management,
  • Influence,
  • Conflict Resolution,
  • Mediation,
  • Organizational Behavior, and
  • Communication.

Since 2000, Moshe has been a Lecturer in the MBA program at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, where he teaches Negotiation and Leadership. He has also previously taught at Bentley College and Cambridge College, and is frequently asked to present at business functions and conferences. He has worked with thousands of students as well as companies worldwide.

As a mediator, Moshe has worked to resolve hundreds of matters, and also coaches salespeople, buyers, attorneys, consultants, purchasing professionals, line managers, and executives at all levels within organizations, on leading others and negotiating effectively. He specializes in providing experiential, relevant, & engaging programs, that people can apply immediately in their workplaces. Also, he has worked with and in industries including:

  • Financial Services,
  • Consulting,

  • Biotechnology,
  • Insurance,
  • Consumer Goods,

Moshe specializes in employment, workplace, and discrimination-related disputes, but over the years has mediated hundreds of matters ranging from multi-million dollar business and family business cases, to interpersonal conflicts, working inside companies, government agencies and other organizations, through courts and community mediation programs, and in his private practice. He also coaches executives, managers, and others to help them become more effective in their work or to help them negotiate better outcomes for themselves. Moshe also writes extensively, having written numerous role-plays, cases, and articles, and appears in podcasts, videos, and interviews. And, he is the author of two books – Collywobbles, How to Negotiate When Negotiating Makes You Nervous and Optimism is a Choice and Other Timeless Ideas.

Moshe Cohen’s undergraduate degree was in Physics from Cornell University, followed by a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, specializing in robotics. After working in robotics for over a dozen years, he earned an MBA from Boston University, and fell in love with negotiation, mediation, and leadership, founding The Negotiating Table.
