Mirko Zardini, an architect, is the Director and Chief Curator of the Canadian Centre for Architecture. His research engages the transformation of contemporary architecture and its relationship with the city and the landscape. Since 2005, as director, Zardini has overseen the transformation of the CCA to address contemporary social, political and environmental issues.

Exhibitions by Zardini — or in collaboration with Giovanna Borasi — include Asfalto: Il carattere della cittá (2003), presented in Milan; and out of the box: price rossi stirling + matta-clark (2003-04); Sense of the City (2005-06); 1973: Sorry, Out of Gas (2007-08); Actions: What You Can Do with the City (2008-09); and Other Space Odysseys: Greg Lynn, Michael Maltzan, Allessandro Poli (2010), exhibited at the CCA, in Montreal.
