Biography

Michelle offers over 25 years of professional experience, predominantly in international organizations and teams. Her background and chief passion lies within working with cross-cultural teams helping them to achieve a heightened awareness and the value diversity can bring to an organization.

She understands the demands of corporate life, particularly the challenges of working across cultures. Key to success is maintaining a work/life balance with a focus on wellness. For individuals relocating to a new country for work or personal reasons, she helps clients rediscover their identity and embrace the challenges in creative ways.

She has a wide range of experience from innovative start-ups to international Fortune 10 companies, such as Intel, Dow Corning, Dow Chemical, Chevron, General Motors, Nike, DIRECTV, Kaiser Permanente, Providence Health, The Honest Company, and boutique professional services firms. Her exposure to a diverse array of industries within manufacturing, automotive supply chain, healthcare and pharmaceutical IT, chemical, semiconductor, digital entertainment, and enterprise content management adds a diverse and unique perspective allowing her to wear multiple hats and successfully work with any industry.

Michelle likes to solve complex problems that involve the combination of people, technology, processes, and business. She has been involved numerous change initiatives and drove enterprise projects, programs and products (project, program, product life cycle), business, sales, and marketing strategies; digital & organizational transformation; business, project, and software process improvement, corporate governance, and conflict management while having an agile mindset. Michelle naturally assesses organizations in all aspects, builds trust, and establishes advocates to ensure collective success.

A high level of cultural and emotional intelligence was cultivated through international, multi-cultural environments through her work/live/study abroad experience in Latin America, Europe, and corporate international teams. She believes that high-performing teams are made up of diverse backgrounds and values different perspectives and cultures, which foster an environment of constant innovation.

She holds a BS from the University of Michigan, MS in Global Business & Leadership (MSGL) from the University of San Diego, spoke at the MSGL commencement, was a featured “Successful, Interesting, and Inspiring MSGL Grad,” alumni guest panelist, MSGL guest lecturer on the topics of Leading and Working within Global Teams and Women in Leadership.

Michelle holds certifications as Business Process Management Practitioner (BPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Everything DiSC, Strengthscope, Organizational Culture & Effectiveness Inventory, and Executive Coaching.

Michelle enjoys a challenge as much in her free time as well as professionally and can be seen participating in a multitude of adventure sports and enjoying nature. Her true passion is mountain biking where she used to compete at the professional level in downhill. When not partaking in outdoor activities, she enjoys traveling around the world, taking in the marvels and cultures it has to offer. She is actively involved in environmental causes and organizations to help girls and women alleviate poverty across the globe through long-term solutions with near-term results.
