Center for Technology and Management Education

Michelle Selberg has 20 years of systems engineering and project management experience.in defense and commercial aviation. She has worked in aircraft design, development, management, and maintenance. She currently specializes in requirements development, system architecture, project planning, DO-160 and DO-178 certification, agile development, data analytics, acceptance testing, integration, change management, and risk management.

Ms. Selberg led complex technical integration design projects at GE Aviation and at Northrop Grumman Corporation. She was responsible for the onboard avionics system design for the iJet Onboard startup venture which provides a flexible, software-defined infrastructure based on big data concepts to facilitate data and analytics services in the airline industry. She has worked with Smiths Aerospace, GE Aviation, Esterline (Korry Electronics), Boeing, L3, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, Bombardier, and Learjet, where she helped them restructure, both organizationally and technically, towards large data-driven business models.

Her avionics team at Northrop Grumman Corporation received the Distinguished Engineering Project Achievement Award by the San Fernando Valley Engineers' Council. Ms. Selberg received her BS in applied mathematics from Northern Arizona University.
