Professor Ruff''s teaching and behavioral accounting research interests include financial and managerial accounting, accounting ethics and education, and the role of applied research in accounting practice.

Professor Ruff''s academic experience includes nine years of full time teaching experience and 16 years part time teaching experience at Boston University, Bentley University, Clark University, and Regis College. His professional experience includes over 25 years in accounting and financial management positions.

Professor Ruff is an active member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
