Boston University

Since his arrival at the School of Hospitality Administration in 1989, Dr. Oshins has taught 10 different courses. He is currently teaching Introduction to the Hospitality Industry and Hospitality Leadership. Prior to his arrival at Boston University, Dr. Oshins was vice president of Integer Dynamics—a hospitality consulting firm focused on operational and technology-based productivity and quality consulting services. He has been published in the Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Quarterly and an article review for the Harvard Business Review. His operations experience includes hotels, restaurants, and country clubs. Dr. Oshins earned his undergraduate degree in literature and rhetoric from Binghamton University, graduate degree from Cornell University in hotel administration, and doctorate in human resource education from Boston University. His thesis analyzed the knowledge, skills, and traits differences between good versus great hotel managers.
