Michael Kuta is a Partner with Productivity Inc., a leading international consulting and training firm delivering Business Process Improvement implementation strategies, tactics, and tools throughout the Global 1000. He has over 30 years experience in planning, implementing and managing value adding work place programs and management initiatives at the corporate, SBU, and P&L level of leading multinational companies, as well as, in a widespectrum of situations with medium and small companies. Prior to joining Productivity Inc. in the mid 1980’s, Michael pioneered successful, progressive, engineering and corporate staff functions with Fortune 100 companies such as AMF (American Machine and Foundry, Inc.) as Director, Industrial Engineering, Memorex Corporation as Director, Industrial and Process Engineering, and Champion International Corporation as Director of Organizational Effectiveness. Following active duty in the United States Marine Corps, Michael began his professional career with Chrysler Corporation as a Line Supervisor and subsequently a Class B Industrial Engineer. Over the years Mr. Kuta has been fortunate to have been mentored by renowned business improvement consultants such as Ryuji Fukuda, Iwao Kobayashi, and the late Yoshiki Iwata and Shigeo Shingo in the handson application and rapid deployment of today’s best known Operational Excellence best practices, principles, and methodologies. Today, as a Partner with Productivity Inc., Michael is responsible for Productivity’s global business operations. With offices in China, France, Italy, Mexico, The United Kingdom, and the USA, he is active in a variety of client process improvement engagements and operational excellence projects with brand organizations like Kaiser Aluminum Corporation, the adidas Group, and Suncor Energy Inc. Michael is a teacher of Lean Manager Certification at the Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University; he lectures on topics such as Lean Leadership, Strategy Deployment, and enterprisewide Process Improvement.
