The Wharton School

Michael Gelman is an assistant professor of finance at the University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and a visiting scholar at the Department of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from Ben-Gurion University with a merit award for excellence and earned an MBA and B.A. in economics and finance from The Hebrew University.

Dr. Gelman’s primary areas of research are banking, household finance, corporate finance and financial risk management.

His teaching experience includes a variety of course on finance, financial risk management and economics for undergraduate, graduate students and executives.

Dr. Gelman has professional experience as a consultant to financial institutions and he holds a ‘Financial Risk Management’ certificate and ‘Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager’ professional education.
