Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
Michael J. Critelli is an innovator in creating a culture of health at Pitney Bowes, over an 18-year period, as the Company’s General Counsel, Chief HR officer and CEO and Chairman. The Company created an environment highly conducive to prevention and wellness, superior healthcare delivery and value-based health plan design to drive optimal plan member and provider behaviors.
Since retiring from Pitney Bowes in 2008, he has had a remarkably diverse, deep exposure to the broader healthcare industry. He has been the President and CEO of the Dossia Service Corporation, a company devoted to expanding consumer access to a comprehensive, lifelong, portable, secure, individually-controlled health record.
He has been a member of Boards or advisory Boards of a primary care physician group, (ProHealth Physicians,), a pharmaceutical company (Wyeth), a genetics testing firm (Navigenics), an immunization vendor (Mollen), health research institutions (RAND Health and Connecticut Center for Primary Care), a health insurer division (Humana Wellness), and numerous other public health and medical research organizations.
He has served on numerous national and state advisory groups, including the Institute of Medicine ‘s Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care, the Connecticut State HealthFirst Authority, and the Connecticut Health Data Collaborative Working Group.
He had more than 30 years of leadership in transportation, regional planning, environmental and public health initiatives, and an investor in nutrition and other health and medical research initiatives.
He produced a full-length feature film, From the Rough, released nationwide in theaters, and distributed domestically and internationally on Amazon, Netflix, and I-Tunes and other digital media channels.
In the past year, he has co-founded and leads a Network called the MakeUsWell Network. MakeUsWell's mission is to enable its members and subscribers to help the US thrive in a time of pandemics, by addressing the health and healthcare issues the pandemic has exposed and exploited.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Political Science and Communications (1970) and from Harvard Law School, JD cum laude, (1974). He also was an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University (2010 and 2011).
