Biography
Mike Brown is the Founder & Managing Partner at Bowery Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing and building the next generation of business software market leaders. While at Bowery Capital, Brown has been influential in the creation of the firm’s Acceleration Team. The Acceleration Team is a group of sales, marketing, and customer success practitioners that focus their efforts solely on helping early-stage founders with revenue related growth. Outside of their support, the Acceleration Team is widely recognized for their content efforts including the Bowery Capital Startup Sales Podcast and their annual Startup Sales Stack Report featuring 2,000 vendors of sales technology. Prior to forming Bowery Capital, Brown co-founded AOL Ventures and also worked for the investment arm of Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, helping to invest capital in early stage internet startups on behalf of the British entrepreneur. He began his career at Morgan Stanley. Outside of his professional life Brown serves on the Board of Directors of the National Forest Foundation and the Columbia College Alumni Association. Mike holds an undergraduate degree from Columbia University.
