Biography
Dr. Michael Bennett, Professor of Management, is an experienced teacher and expert on financial management. His work focuses on the areas of Financial Strategy, Corporate Governance, and Investment Management. Dr. Bennett has presented at international conferences in the area of corporate governance and strategy. He has published teaching materials on Financial Strategy and Managerial Economics that have been adopted for use by faculty at a number of universities. His present research examines the role of ownership structure in the publicly-held corporation and its effects on corporate performance.
He has taught in many graduate and executive degree programs. Dr. Bennett earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Carleton University and an MA in economics and Ph.D. in financial economics from Queen's University. Before coming to Curry College, Dr. Bennett was Program Director of the National Executive MBA program at Queen's University. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Bennett has extensive experience consulting with high tech companies and investment banks.
