He received Marshall's Golden Apple Award for teaching, as well as the Professor of the year award from Gamma Sigma Alpha, and has consulted for a variety of organizations, including Millennium, Inc., Bristol-Meyers/Squibb, Pre-Clinical Group, and Nitinol Medical Technologies.
