Matthew A. Edwards is an Associate Professor in the Department of Law at the Zicklin School of Business. Professor Edwards graduated, magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 1993 and earned his B.A. Degree in Political Science, summa cum laude, from SUNY-Binghamton in 1990. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Order of the Coif.

Following his law school graduation, Professor Edwards served as a law clerk to the Honorable Phyllis A. Kravitch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Eleventh Circuit and practiced as a litigation associate at a major NY law firm. Subsequently, he taught in the LL.M. Program in Comparative Jurisprudence at NYU School of Law.

Professor Edwards’s scholarship on financial fraud, among other subjects, has appeared in journals such as the American Criminal Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law, Administrative Law Review, Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance, Cornell Journal of Law & Public Policy, Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law, William & Mary Business Law Review, Washington Law Review, and the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy.
