Curriculum Vitae

Massimo Aielli is a Senior Lecturer of Management Control Systems at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is an Adjunct Professor in Accounting and Control at Università Bocconi.

At SDA Bocconi, he was in charge of Management Accounting courses in MBA programs (2000-2005), Custom Executive Education Programs Director for the Accounting and Control department (2001-2005) and Director of the Executive Master Administration Finance Control program (EMAFC, 2008-2013). Since 2018 he has been Category Manager for education programs on Management and Control Systems. He has conducted research and education projects with some major players in the automotive, power generation, fashion & design, banking, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, information technology, building, chemical, energy and food industries.

His research activities focus on management and control systems, performance measurement systems, cost containment systems, planning systems and business innovation. Currently, he is developing digital cost management and the links between planning systems and business innovation.

He is the author of numerous books and articles on his topics of interest. His works have been published in Quaderni di Management, Sviluppo & Organizzazione, Lecco Economia and Italia Oggi, among others.

Massimo earned a degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconiand an ITP (International Teachers Programme) at the Institut d'Administration Des Entreprises di Aix-En-Provence (France). He is certified as a Business Innovation Manager at the GIMI (Global Innovation Management Institute) in Boston. He is married with two children and is passionate about watercolors, ballroom dancing and drone aerial photography.
