Major teaching and research interests include rhetorical analysis of news coverage, theories of persuasion, intercultural communication, public speaking, rhetoric of social change, rhetoric of psychoanalysis, and business communication ethics. Currently researching competing agendas in newspaper coverage of the Catholic priest sex crisis. Published in Journal of Education for Business, Advances in Accounting Education, Women's Studies in Communication, The Cambridge Quarterly, The Encyclopedia of Rhetoric, and the Quarterly Journal of Speech. Freud's Traumatic Memory (Duquesne University Press, 2005). Extensive consulting experience in public health and public health research.
