Singularity University
Mark is an advanced manufacturing entrepreneur and a sought-after speaker and advisor on innovation, the maker movement, digital strategy, and advanced manufacturing. He has held executive positions focused on innovation, disruptive technology, entrepreneurship, and intrapreneurship in various industry sectors, including packaged goods, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare. He has raised 10’s of millions of dollars in investments. He has led strategic business development deals landing partners like Autodesk, GE, Ford, Fujitsu, Lowes Home Improvement, the Department of Defense, Arizona State University, and many others.He has spoken about advanced manufacturing at the White House, the Clinton Global Initiative, the Council on Foreign Relations, Singularity U, TEDx, and many others; he has spoken to corporate groups from P&G, ExxonMobil, Kraft, Autodesk, SABIC, and many other US and Global Fortune 500 firms. He has presented at universities like UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt, and Harvard. He has spoken in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.Mark has appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, Bloomberg, CNN, and Fox, among others. He has also been quoted in numerous prominent magazines and newspapers like Bloomberg Business, FastCompany, Inc, Forbes, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The LA Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, and he has written two books on the maker movement.He is Singularity Expert, at Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business, where he teaches digital innovation and strategy. He is also Singularity Expert, at Singularity University, an advisor to various global manufacturers and start-ups and was an entrepreneur in residence at UC Berkeley.He is working on his DBA at Pepperdine, holds an MBA from the Drucker Center at the Claremont Graduate University, and a BA in economics from UCI in economics.
