Research & Teaching Interests

Professor Solomon has active research and consulting interests in the development and implementation of design, planning, and execution methodologies leading to improved supply chain agility.

Industry & Academic Experience

Professor Solomon was Chair of the Sections and Societies Subcommittee of INFORMS. He also served as a member of the Subdivisions Committee of INFORMS and as President of the Transportation Science and Logistics Section of INFORMS. He was a visiting professor at H.E.C. Montreal; the Center for Research in Decision Sciences, GERAD; and the Center for Research on Transportation (CRT) in Montreal. Professor Solomon has held the "City of Lyon" Visiting Professor Chair at the University Claude Bernard, Lyon, France. In addition, Professor Solomon is a visiting member of the Research Center, GERAD, Montreal.

Services to the Profession

Professor Solomon also serves as an associate editor for the journal Transportation Science.
