Mario Amore

I am Associate Professor at the Department of Management and Technology at Bocconi University, where I also serve as Director of the PhD in Business Administration and Management. I am Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and at Bocconi’s ICRIOS Research Center.

I work in the area of corporate governance and family business. I am also interested in the interactions between finance, strategy and innovation, and in the behavioral aspects of corporate decision-making. My research has been published in top journals such as Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal. The findings of my research are frequently featured in several media outlets in business and finance.

I serve as Associate Editor of Management Science and Journal of Corporate Finance and Editorial Review Board Member of Strategic Management Journal and Corporate Governance: An International Review.

I teach Management, Family Firms and Econometrics in Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral courses.

I am a marathoner and snowboarder, loving my homeland Sicily.
