Harvard Medical School

Maria Yialamas, MD is currently a primary care physician and endocrinologist in the Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she is the Senior Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency and holds the Sheinkopf-Bornstein Chair in Medical Education. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Biology and earned her MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She did her residency training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she also served as chief medical resident, and completed her fellowship in endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her main clinical area of interest is male and female reproductive endocrinology. Her main areas of education curriculum development include bedside teaching, mentorship and leadership programs for female residents, and housestaff –wide research projects.
