Presentation

Overall, my research work focuses on the construction of leadership identities and the dynamics between notions of leadership and leading as practice in organizations. In my PhD I explore the narrated life world of top executive leaders and how they articulate their understanding of the interface between theoretical, conceptual ideas on leadership on one hand and their own, lived experience with leading as practice on the other. Informed by philosophical theory on aesthetics my research also investigates topics related to leading as an experience with beauty, leadership ethics, trust, meaning, imagination and sustainable leadership.

Primary research areas

  • Leadership & organizations studies
  • Aesthetic leadership & co-creation (innovation management)
  • Strategic leadership & change management
  • Leadership identity as narrative
  • Leadership ethics – sustainable leadership
