Margaret R. Fleetwood is an in-house attorney with Arbor Biotechnologies, Inc., a pre-IPO gene editing company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She practices in the areas of patent and trademark prosecution, licensing, and intellectual property management agreements. She has maintained a particular interest in both the life sciences and intellectual property practice surrounding early stage technologies. While in private practice in a law firm, she maintained a focus on representing research institutions and biotechnology startups in addition to performing work on behalf of large pharmaceutical and mid-sized medical device clients. Before beginning her legal practice, she spent five years in technology transfer at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at University of Chicago, managing patent portfolios for more than 30 faculty members and completing licensing transactions with domestic and international development partners. Margaret has also performed technology transfer work at Northwestern University and University of Pennsylvania.

Margaret holds a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Knox College.
