Biography

On completing his degree in Economics, Marco Brun worked for a business consultancy company in Italy and in the United States, where he spent two years working on business start-up projects. In 1996 he joined the Shell Group and began working in the Business-to-Business (“B2B”) sector, managing Shell’s supply relationships with major corporate customers for its finished products. By 2006 he had become responsible for all B2B activities in Southern Europe, whereupon he took up the position of General Manager for Shell’s Gas and Power businesses in Italy and France. In 2009 Marco was appointed Country Chair for Shell Italy and the Adriatic Countries, with the latter including exploration activities in Albania and retail operations in Slovenia, while the current business in Italy ranges from Exploration and Production operations to lubricants and Gas& Power marketing. In 2010 he was also appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Shell’s Exploration and Production business in Italy. Marco was born in 1965, is married to Monica and has three children.
