Manuel Cervell

Manuel Álvarez is currently developing his career as an advisor of corporate and M&A. He has extensive senior management experience as General Manager within the logistics, supply chain, retail & wholesale industries. He also has personally witnessed the evolution and transformation in various sectors over the years, with a proven track record in transformation proceses and managed different M&A operations. He also held various positions at Uno (former AECAF) the Spanish Logistics Association, as a member of the Steering Board.

He has held general management positions during the last 25 years in different companies. In Dachser Iberia, as a General Manager CL European Logistics and Business Development Manager, he implemented the strategy of integration and the processes of internationalization of the company within the European markets. Prior to that, Manuel was the International Business Development Manager at General Logistics Systems (GLS), a subsidiary of the Royal Mail Group, into a parcel and express services and value-added logistics solutions for business customers. He developed new growth opportunities in different European markets. Previously at Grupo Logista, a subsidiary of Imperial Tobacco he served as General Manager, Convenience and e-Transactions for Iberia and his responsibilities including development of non-Tobacco businesses; construction, and implementation of different categories; managing and coordinating e-Transaction businesses (Telephone, Public Transport and Payment) in the commercial network of the company and managing central distribution for Repsol network. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Integra2, and TDN, industrial transport companies, in Spain and Portugal

Manuel earned his Law degree at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He holds a Phd in Business Administration from the University of California, an MBA from IE Business School and an Executive MBA from IESE Business School.
