Biography

Dr. Sanchez- R  is a Senior Researcher and Scholar at the Office of Population Research at Princeton University after being a Professor at the Instituto de Urbanismo in the Universidad Central de Venezuela .

Her work in Latin America has been characterizes by the study of the Urban areas, Metropolis formation, and the growing informal world that permanently coexisted in all spheres of Society. She stressed research on urban segratation, barrios, and youths violence radicalization. She authored and co-authored several books and articles in the United States, Europe and Latin America.

Recently , Professor Sanchez -R has studied International Migration to the United States , with special interets in the construction of Latino Identities. Lastly , she is advancing research on International Migration of Talent and High Skilled Educated to the United States, with especial interets in Venezuelan and other Latino American groups. The project also broad its focus to include immigrants from Europe, Asia,and Arabes countries of origin.

She organized and participated at the International Seminar "Venezuela Today" at Princeton University, Abril 2014
