Biography

Lydia Ross (she/her) is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Division of Educational Leadership in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. She also serves as the Executive Director for the Association of Education Finance & Policy. Her research focuses on access and equity in higher education, with an emphasis on STEM. Further, she is focused on methodologies within research, with focus on quantitative analyses and mixed methods.

Lydia has published research on factors that influence faculty tasks assignments, examinations of professional development practices on faculty attitudes and student achievement, faculty dispositions towards and use of active learning practices in undergraduate STEM classrooms, and undergraduate students’ attitudes and knowledge of admissions practices in higher education. Her research has been published in national and international journals, including Research in Higher Education, Theory into Practice, and Teachers College Record. She holds a PhD in Educational Policy and Evaluation from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University.
