Biography

Imperial College London

Dr Ludovic Renson is a Lecturer within the Dynamics Group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. Dr Renson received his PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liege (Belgium) in 2014 and was a Research Associate in the Department of Engineering Mathematics at the University of Bristol prior to his appointment at Imperial in 2019.

His research interests are in the dynamics and control of nonlinear systems, often with applications related to aerospace structures. His research currently includes the development of computational methods to study nonlinear structure dynamics, nonlinear model reduction, and advanced (control-based) experimental techniques for nonlinear systems. He currently holds a Research Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering addressing the development of the next generation of testing methods for nonlinear structures.
