Biography

Dr. Lucy Tan is a Clinical Psychologist, having trained and worked in Scotland, Singapore and New Zealand, before moving to Australia. She has extensive clinical experience in both public and private health industries in a variety of clinical settings covering areas of trans-cultural mental health, family law, medico-legal and community mental health. Lucy is the author of a renowned mindfulness-based programme for adolescents with problematic behaviours. She has been a recipient of several innovative grants and awards, including the Australia Prime Minister Endeavour Award for her innovative research of mindfulness-based program, Taming the Adolescent Mind© for adolescent mental health. In addition to her research and private practice, Lucy is also a senior lecturer in postgraduate psychology courses and provides clinical supervision to postgraduate psychologists in-training. She has presented at numerous professional development workshops and conferences for professionals in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Treatment approaches include Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Cognitive- Behavioural Therapy.
