Lucio Quinzio Leonelli

I started my career in the University at CNR in Rome and in 1980 attracted by the "multinational world" I left University for Nestlè in Perugia and then for Smith and Kline in Milan, working as a Controller and Planning Manager. In search of a marketing experience in 1988 I moved to D&C in Bologna, a leading service company active in Marketing+Sales+Logistics. I started as Product Manager and later I took over the CEO position driving a radical re-engineering and development of the company. The D&C experience revealed to be crucial for my professional growth, as it gave me the opportunity of coupling finance and marketing experiences. In 2001 fascinated by the private equity world I moved as Senior Partner to Opera in Milan,an equity fund sponsored by Bulgari and specialized in “ Made in Italy” companies. The Opera experience proved to be a unique opportunity to build a knowledge of the Italian contemporary design and of the furniture Italian companies. Serving as a Manager and Director of B&B, Unopiù, MOOOI and other companies I had the privilege of experimenting and living the extraordinary world of design. After 8 years, I joined in 2008 MOOOI in Breda (Holland) to help the founders to re-organize and re-launch the company. In 2012 I joined two old friends in the Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners Studio, as Managing Partner and shareholder with the target of transforming an Italian Design studio into an International Design company. My professional career spans between consumer goods market where I built my management expertise and furniture market where I am applying the solidified knowledge. My professional competence is based on Finance and Control and then has been strenghtened by Marketing. Academics: Visiting Professor at the Scuola Politecnica di Design Milano ( 2014) . Visiting Professor at LIUC / School of Economics and Management (2014 and 2015).Visiting Professor at Creative Academy ( 2015/2015)
