Lucia Pierini

Dr. Lucia Pierini is a Lecturer of Accounting at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), joined in 2018.

Dr. Pierini earned her PhD degree in Management major in Accounting at Department of Business and Management, LUISS Guido Carli University in 2018, MSc in General Management at LUISS Guido Carli University in 2012, MSc in Corporate Management at SOM of Fudan University in 2011 and BA in Business Administration at LUISS Guido Carli University in 2010. During her PhD she was the Visiting Research Student of Department of Accounting at London School of Economics from Jan. to Apr. 2018 as well as the Visiting Scholar (PhD level) of Department of Accounting at NYU from Jan. to Aug. 2015. From 2013 to 2017 she served as Instructor and Teaching Assistant at LUISS Guido Carli University for undergraduate and postgraduate students. She received Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2014 and Certified Auditor in 2016.

Dr. Pierini's research interests mainly concentrate on Financial Reporting Issues, Intangibles assets, Merger and Acquisition and Family Business. Her PhD dissertation focused on M&A, studying how accounting and corporate governance choices are associated with the M&A process.
