Luan Santos

Professor of the Production Engineering Program at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Graduate Institute and Research in Engineering (PEP/COPPE/UFRJ) and the Production Engineering course at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Macaé campus. He is also a professor of MBA programs at Escola Politécnica (Poli-UFRJ) and at Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF). He holds a Doctor and Master's degree in Energy and Environmental Planning from the Energy Planning Program (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ), as well as a degree in Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME/UFF) and in Administration from the Faculty of Administration and Accounting Sciences (FACC). /UFRJ). He is an expert reviewer for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on the IPCC Guidelines for the preparation of national inventories of greenhouse gases. He is coordinator of Enactus UFRJ Macaé and evaluator of the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP/MEC). He has worked at institutions such as the United Nations, CEBDS-Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development, CIEDS-Integrated Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Programs, ILOS-Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain, FURNAS SA, among others. Its main lines of research are the following topics: climate policy, carbon pricing, sustainable finance, applied quantitative methods, optimization and simulation, energy and environmental planning, sustainable production management.
