Dr. Peperkamp studied law and philosophy at the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. After obtaining her LLM and MA in Criminal Law and Philosophy of Law, she participated in a research project on health equity and the global right to health (a partnership between the University of Ottawa, Canada and the University of Western Cape, South Africa). She was awarded a research grant for her doctoral research on just war theory and jus post bellum, and received her PhD degree in Nijmegen. Subsequently, Dr. Peperkamp worked as lecturer and researcher at the Radboud University Nijmegen. She thought courses on the philosophy of law, philosophy of human rights, and the ethics of war and peace. Her current research interests are in the areas of war and violent conflicts, just war theory, post war justice, peace, human rights, and global poverty.
