Lisa Murray is the Assistant Department Head for the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management and a Senior Lecturer who teaches Business Communication and Academic Writing.  She brings over 18 years of teaching experience and 12 years of administrative experience into these roles.

She earned an M.A. in Literature from Boston College before specializing in writing theory, process and instruction. She is a certified Collaborative Communication trainer who has worked with a variety of organizations to facilitate strategic planning, instructor development, effective team work, mediation and community building.  And with her interest in creative process, she also serves as a facilitator for an artist group, writes and works in mixed media design. Two of her poems were published in Christine Valters Paintner’s Wisdom of the Body, a Contemplative Journey to Wholeness for Women.

Her current research explores the impact of collaborative communication training in a faith-based community.
