Through her collaborative approach and facilitation, Lisa helps clients identify solutions to complex business challenges, enabling them to grow revenue, reduce costs, manage risk, and improve overall customer experience.
Lisa also serves as a part-time lecturer for the Wharton MBA and Executive MBA programs at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to her work as a strategic consultant, Lisa served as a senior executive at Vanguard for more than 17 years. She led Vanguard’s Enterprise Shared Services and Divisional Planning in IT where she drove strategic technology investments that impacted over 16,000 employees worldwide and more than 20 million clients. In that role, she facilitated a transformation of Vanguard’s people, processes, and technology which included a shift to Agile Product Development, full-stack development teams, test-driven development, a DevOps operating model, adoption of Big Data and Analytics, and migration to the cloud.
Lisa is not your typical technology professional. She spent half of her Vanguard career leading business teams. In her role as a strategy consultant in Vanguard’s Corporate Strategy Group, Lisa led an enterprise-wide, cross-functional team to study age-based needs of investors and implications with new products, emerging technologies and communicating relevant topics to various age groups. This analysis led to a new corporate initiative where she designed, launched and ran an innovative Client Insight department responsible for qualitative and quantitative market research, CRM, campaign management, and data management and analytics. She also led Vanguard’s Unmatchable Excellence program, developing Six Sigma Master Black Belts and driving enterprise-wide process excellence.
Prior to working at Vanguard, Lisa served in multiple senior leadership roles at Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase), CIGNA and Shared Medical Systems (now Cerner). As acting CIO and a member of the senior team at Intracorp, a subsidiary of CIGNA, she participated in strategy sessions and developed departmental action plans that met corporate objectives. She drove employee engagement through strong communication and presented IT direction at national leadership meetings and to the senior executive team. Lisa developed and managed the IT recruitment strategy and budget, where she succeeded in substantially reducing the annual recruiting costs per hire while improving quality of new hires, working closely with HR to implement a market competitive IT compensation program.
During her tenure at Intracorp, Lisa led the development of the company’s first PC-based application, which launched Intracorp’s successful entry into the business of software as a product. She drove activities across multiple groups to achieve very aggressive implementation dates and successfully met customer contractual obligations. She worked with the Executive team, Sales, Product Development and customers to develop a robust external software leasing strategy, creating significant business value for clients and a new revenue stream for the business.
Lisa holds several leadership positions in non-profit and community-based organizations. She serves as Chairman of the PA Advisory Board for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, a national organization with over 7500 staff in 13 states, where she is currently serving as a National Board Trustee. She also serves as a Board Director for the Main Line Chamber of Commerce and is a former founding board member of Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technology (PACT), driving innovation and growth for businesses and entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia region. Lisa also served on the Board of Trustees for the Marketing Science Institute.
Lisa earned her MBA from Villanova University and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management Information Systems at Shippensburg University. She is also a graduate of Leadership Philadelphia, class of 2010. Lisa has been consistently recognized for her outstanding leadership, as these highlights illustrate:
